KUBINKA / Moscow region /, August 24. / TASS /. A number of countries in Southeast Asia may purchase Zashchita, the Russian mobile anti-drone countermeasures systems, all of which fit into several cases. This was reported to TASS within the framework of the Army-2021 forum in the press service of the Vega concern of the Ruselectronics holding (part of Rostec).
“A number of commercial customers, including foreign ones, are interested in the Zashchita complex. In particular, from the countries of Southeast Asia. Active work is underway to conclude firm supply contracts,” the concern said.
“Defense” was presented for the first time at the international forum “Army-2021”. Thanks to the use of passive coherent location technology, the system is invisible to other radars and is resistant to radio interference. The station is placed in several portable cases and is brought into operation in 30 minutes.
The new complex can “see” aircraft in a range of 360 degrees and at a distance of up to 12 km determine what type they are – aircraft, helicopter or tiltrotor. “Protection” is able to locate the “drone” control panel and break the communication channel with the aircraft.
The Army-2021 International Military-Technical Forum is being held at the Patriot Exhibition and Convention Center from 22 to 28 August.
