The head of Yugosetpotrebnadzor Marina Kochieva said that the first death of a patient with COVID-19 coronavirus infection was recorded in South Ossetia.

“Unfortunately, we have recorded the first death with a diagnosis of coronavirus – this is an elderly woman of 88 years old,” Kochieva quotes TASS.

Earlier, the press secretary of the President of South Ossetia Dina Gassieva said that she was diagnosed with a coronavirus.

Virologist, Professor Anatoly Altstein, in an interview with FAN, assessed the situation with COVID-19.
