South Korea spoke about Putin's visit to Seoul

The South Korean authorities are going to arrange a visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin to Seoul as soon as the situation with the coronavirus pandemic stabilizes. After talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the head of the South Korean Foreign Ministry Chon Ui Yong told about this, RIA Novosti reports.

“We agreed to make joint efforts to ensure that, as the situation with COVID-19 stabilizes, President Putin’s visit to South Korea takes place as soon as possible,” the agency quoted him as saying.

The head of the Russian foreign policy department at a meeting with his Korean counterpart announced the expansion of cooperation between the countries and called on the countries of the Korean Peninsula to return to negotiations as soon as possible and abandon the arms race.

At the talks between Russia and the Republic of Korea, the prospect of creating a joint investment fund was also discussed.
