South Korea says it is ready to launch its first Nuri missile
The Ministry of Science and Information and Communication Technologies of South Korea announced the full assurance of preparations for the launch of the first domestic carrier rocket “Nuri”, reports TASS.
It is reported that the launch is scheduled for Thursday at 16:00 KST (10:00 Moscow time) from the Naro cosmodrome in Jeollanam-do province, 470 km south of Seoul.
The rocket will be launched with a mock payload weighing 1.5 tons into low-earth orbit.
Earlier it was reported that the American Alpha launch vehicle exploded after a test launch. The rocket was launched from the site at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. She moved at supersonic speed, after 2.5 minutes of flight, an explosion occurred.
