The South Korean authorities have banned their citizens from traveling to Ukraine due to rising tensions on the border with Russia. This was reported in a statement on the website of the country's Foreign Ministry, TASS reports.

“In connection with the situation around Ukraine, it was decided to introduce the fourth degree of warning about the danger of travel (travel ban) in relation to the entire territory of Ukraine from February 13,” the ministry said in a statement. The Korean Foreign Ministry also called on fellow citizens who are on Ukrainian territory to immediately leave for their homeland or other safe countries and reconsider their plans for future trips.

Earlier it was reported that the Ambassador of the Netherlands in Kiev Yennes de Mol urged fellow citizens to leave Ukraine as soon as possible. He stressed that this is not about evacuation, but about a voluntary choice to leave the country due to a security threat. The Japanese authorities also sent a corresponding appeal to fellow citizens.
