PlayStation games have been predicted on mobile devices. This is reported by the profile edition Eurogamer.
The portal's journalists made such a conclusion based on an advertisement from Sony found on the site for hiring specialists. According to a vacancy posted on April 10, the Japanese company is looking for a head of mobile development. The interviewed and hired candidate “will focus on successfully adapting the most popular PlayStation franchises for mobile.”
“You will be responsible for building and scaling the Mobile Leadership Team and lead this new business unit at PlayStation Studios,” reads the proposal description. According to the authors, the posting of the vacancy clearly gives a hint that Sony intends to port some of its exclusives to smartphones.
Journalists believe that in the near future the corporation will adapt some popular franchises for mobile devices, for example, Uncharted and The Last of Us from Naughty Dog, Gran Turismo from Polyphony, God of War from Sony Santa Monica and Ratchet & Clank from Insomniac.
It is not known exactly when Sony exclusives will appear on smartphones. However, the job description says that porting titles has a period of three to five years.
In early April, it became known that an interactive video game in the thriller genre Erica, which is a PlayStation exclusive, will be released on PC. The title will be available to users of the digital platform Steam in May.
