Smolensk was “visited” by a UAV, and explosions occurred in Crimea: details

Crimeans reported explosions in Sevastopol, between the Bakhchisarai region and the Kachin Valley.

The Russians announced a drone attack in the Smolensk region of the Russian Federation on November 17. At the same time, sounds of explosions were heard in Crimea.

This was announced by the Governor of the Smolensk region Vasily Anokhin and reported by Russian telegram channels.

Anokhin stated that supposedly Ukrainian drones were shot down over Smolensk.

“This morning, air defense and electronic warfare forces of the Russian Armed Forces in the Zadneprovsky district of the city of Smolensk and on the territory of the Smolensk region destroyed Ukrainian aircraft-type drones ,” the governor’s statement said.

According to preliminary data, there were no casualties, the governor added.

Later, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that at about 8:00 local time, air defense systems shot down three drones over the territory of the Smolensk region.

Explosions in Crimea

At the same time, on the morning of November 17 , residents of Sevastopol heard loud explosions in the central part of the city. The sounds of explosions sounded like rocket launchers. They thundered around 7:47 local time, after which a weak explosion was also heard.

Two explosions were also reported between the Bakhchisarai region and the Kachin Valley . Helicopters were circling in the sky.

The Russian occupation authorities of Sevastopol and the military have not announced any exercises and have not yet commented on the situation.

Let us recall that on November 15, the Russians also announced the alleged shooting down of a drone over the Smolensk region, as well as a drone attack on a gunpowder factory in the Tambov region.
