11 smart bus stops with heating and Wi-Fi will be installed in Derbent

Smart bus stops with heating and Wi-Fi will appear in the Russian city of Derbent. The authorities plan to equip 11 stops throughout the city, the first began to be installed on December 25, the press service of the local administration said.
It is reported that the stops are made from environmentally friendly materials and in accordance with the Derbent design code. Inside will be installed a call button 112, free internet, charging for mobile devices, an intelligent video surveillance system, as well as a climate system for heating in winter and air conditioning in summer.
“For the safety of citizens and the pavilions themselves, a dispatching and signaling system has been implemented, which makes it possible to automate all the functions of stops, as well as determine its technical condition and the presence of acts of vandalism, which will be automatically recorded and transmitted to the competent authorities,” said the architect of the Office of Architecture and Urban Planning city administration Alik Huseynov.
Earlier, the first “smart” bus stop with heating, an electronic board and touch panels appeared in Noyabrsk near the Central City Hospital. In addition, there are electronic displays inside, which display information about the time of arrival of transport, as well as messages from the Ministry of Emergencies and the Hydrometeorological Center.
