In Moscow, the Shcherbinsky Elevator Building Plant began producing elevators with a contactless control system. They can be controlled from a mobile application, according to the portal of the mayor and the government of Moscow. Smart elevators will be equipped with a controller that will allow using a special application to call the car to the desired floor at a specified time.
The smart elevator from the Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant has already been tested in one of the multi-storey buildings, said Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Development and Property and Land Relations.
“It is easy to use such an elevator: you need to download the SmartAirkey application to your smartphone and indicate the required floor and the distance from the user to the elevator, at which the system will automatically send a call signal. The controller recognizes a potential passenger using the Bluetooth network, ”the mayor of the capital noted on the portal.
The same controllers can be installed on other objects of the access system at home, which will allow using the application to open, for example, entrance roads, officials said.
So far, there are four elevator manufacturers working in Moscow. By the end of 2020, they produced 15,400 lifts, which is 10.6% more than a year earlier.
