Slovakia has simplified the entry rules for foreigners: what has changed

by alex

Slovakia has canceled the list of special conditions for people arriving from countries where there is an increased risk of contracting the omicron strain of coronavirus.

This decision was taken by the Slovak authorities after the introduction of new rules by the European Commission regarding travelers. Under the new EC regulation, all vaccination certificates are valid within the EU for nine months.

“From February 4, 2022, upon arrival in Slovakia, persons who have overcome Covid-19 more than 180 days ago have the same conditions as those who were vaccinated,” the message says.

That is, for fully vaccinated persons, as well as for persons who have overcome the disease, home quarantine upon arrival in Slovakia is not mandatory .

Previously, those who, although they had been ill with a coronavirus infection, were still obliged to go into quarantine.

So far, only eHranice registration for unvaccinated individuals remains mandatory.

The quarantine itself for people who have not been vaccinated has been reduced from 10 to 5 days after arriving in Slovakia. Quarantine may be shortened if a person has received a negative PCR test result.

Recall that since January 30, Ukraine has been included in the list of high-risk countries in Germany. Therefore, Ukrainians who want to visit Germany must comply with the new rules.
