Slovakia has expressed its readiness to accept some children for treatment accompanied by their parents.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico held his first government meeting on Tuesday, July 9, since the assassination attempt in mid-May. He also spoke with his Ukrainian counterpart Denis Shmyhal.

In addition, Shmyhal thanked Slovakia for its participation in the Peace Summit, support on the path to European integration, in particular support for the EU decision to open negotiations on Ukraine's membership in the EU.
“We discussed the implementation of the agreements reached during intergovernmental consultations in April of this year. There is significant progress in this direction. We agreed to hold the third joint meeting of governments in the fall in Ukraine,” the head of the Cabinet added.
