Carriers will block entry into Slovakia for cargo transportation.

Union of Road Carriers Slovakia (UNAS) stated that from Monday, December 11, they will again resume blocking the movement of Ukrainian trucks through the Slovak border checkpoint “Vyshne-Niemecke-Uzhgorod”.

This is reported on the UNAS page.

“The Union of Road Carriers of Slovakia (UNAS) decided on 12/10/2023 to extend the protest at the Vysne Nemecke/Uzhgorod border crossing from 12/11/2023 from 15:00 until further notice,” the statement says.

Carriers warn that “they will block entry into the territory of the Slovak Republic for cargo transportation. Personal transport will not be limited in any way.”

“The Presidium made this decision based on an assessment of the information received and its impact on the Slovakian motor transport market. We join the protests organized in Poland from 11/06/2023 and from 12/11/2023 also on the territory of Hungary,” they said UNAS.

Remember, the first batch of Ukrainian trucks arrived by rail in Poland.
