Six female pilots involved: mass crash in the W Series

by alex

There was a serious accident in qualifying at Spa-Francorchamps on Friday.

First of all, the most important thing: everyone is doing well under the circumstances. And that was not a matter of course after this mass crash on Friday afternoon in the women's W Series racing series.

In qualifying at Spa in Belgium, there was a heavy crash on a wet road. Six female drivers lost control of their cars in the notorious Eau Rouge combination of bends and crashed into each other.

The pilots involved in the crash, Fabienne Wohlwend, Abbie Eaton, Sarah Moore and Belen Garcia, were checked through at the medical center near the track. Ayla Agren and Beitske Visser had to be taken to hospital for further examinations.

In the late evening the all-clear was given and Agren and Visser could be discharged from the hospital.

Just a few weeks ago there was a serious accident at the same location at the 24-hour race in Spa, which sparked discussions.
