The Hungarian Emergency Service emphasized that the sirens and loudspeakers sounded solely for test purposes.

In Romania, on March 1, sirens and loudspeakers sounded throughout the country to notify of emergencies. Such actions were aimed at checking their work.

This is reported by the local edition Agerpres.

According to the report, testing took place at 10-11 am, which included checking the exchange of information between authorities, checking loudspeakers for announcements and sirens.

The Hungarian Emergency Service emphasized that the sirens and loudspeakers sounded exclusively for test checks and urged citizens not to worry. They reminded that in case of a threat, messages will also come to RO-ALERT, a special application or through radio and television.

Recall that in Russia they will check the public warning system. Sirens will be distributed in St. Petersburg and the Belgorod region. In addition to sirens, loudspeakers and technical means of warning organizations will be turned on in the city. TV channels and radio stations are also connected to the verification of the warning system.
