The leader of the Forward Italy party, former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, was re-admitted to the San Rafael hospital. It is reported by the local newspaper la Repubblica.
On April 6, the politician underwent a follow-up examination at the San Rafael clinic in Milan, after which the doctors hospitalized him for further observation.
The publication reports that 84-year-old Berlusconi spent the Easter holidays visiting his daughter, and flew to the hospital by helicopter.
“This is the second time in several weeks that he has been forced to return to the clinic in San Rafael,” the newspaper said.
On March 22, Berlusconi was admitted to the same clinic. Then his lawyer reported on the deterioration of his client's health during a court hearing in Milan, where the former prime minister and 28 other people are being accused in a corruption and perjury case. On March 24, Berlusconi was discharged from the hospital.
In September 2020, the politician was diagnosed with COVID-19 and bilateral pneumonia and was sent to San Rafael for treatment. Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov then reported that Russia was ready to help the ex-prime minister, if necessary.
