Silvio Berlusconi Discharged From Milan Hospital
Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was discharged from the San Raffaele hospital in Milan. According to RIA Novosti, the politician was hospitalized on April 6.
Italian media reported that 84-year-old Berlusconi left the hospital on Friday evening and is currently at home in a villa in Arkor. According to the lawyers of the politician, in respect of whom the court proceedings are underway due to suspicions of corruption, Berlusconi remained in the hospital, among other things, due to the consequences of the coronavirus disease suffered last fall. The ex-prime minister went to the clinic for a control examination, but the doctors decided to leave him in the medical facility for further observation.
While the leader of the Forward Italy party was in hospital, his lawyers succeeded in postponing two trials on charges against Berlusconi of perjury and bribery of witnesses in an old case against the politician.
Berlusconi had to miss court hearings for health reasons more than once.
