Signs of a smartphone being hacked are listed

by alex

RIA Novosti again spoke with experts on the topic of information security. This time, they talked about what hacking a smartphone might reveal.

A representative of VimpelCom (Beeline's brand) said that one of the main signs of a smartphone being hacked is a fast battery discharge. As he put it, “unnaturally fast.” The expert explained this by the fact that malware can run in the background and waste power.

A specialist from Kaspersky Lab supported his colleague. I also remembered that the work of malware can be accompanied by overheating of the device and the consumption of a large amount of Internet traffic. The expert also urged to pay attention to strange notifications, if suddenly you usually ignore such, and to the appearance of unfamiliar programs. According to the expert, however, this is “far from a complete list.” Antivirus software will reliably help determine a hack, unless, of course, it is blocked.

The representative of “Beeline” decided to add that it is worthwhile to think hard if the smartphone itself reboots, makes noise when talking on the phone, “generates mailings on the list of your contacts” and behaves strangely.

The last phrase, in general, can be summed up all the advice of experts. If your smartphone is behaving strangely, it's worth checking it out.
