– Serial production of combat robots began. There are no longer just experimental samples, but robots that can really be shown in science fiction films, they are able to fight on their own, “said Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu at a lecture at the New Knowledge marathon.
The Minister noted that the Russian Armed Forces have made a huge leap forward in development in recent years, overtaking the most powerful armies in the world in a number of areas.
According to the minister, today the level of “modernity in the strategic nuclear forces” is 86%.
The head of the military department recalled that the Avangard missile systems are in service with Russia, the tests of the Zircon hypersonic missiles continue, and the Peresvet laser systems are being developed.
– Earlier, you remember, it was science fiction 20 years ago, with laser swords in science fiction films someone fought with someone. Today, this is reality, and these are the Peresvet complexes, which, on the one hand, are already in service, on the other hand, they have not stopped their movement in development. Because, there is a very large field of scientific activity, – Shoigu shared.
The minister stressed that the power of our army is also increasing due to the fact that the Russian industry has taken up “fairly reliable, solid tracks.”
Shoigu also said that the approach to training professional personnel has changed: designers of modern weapons began to lecture at military universities. In educational processes, the most modern methods and systems, a single electronic library and “one understandable and clear history textbook” are used.
The largest educational educational online marathon “New Knowledge” started in Russia from 20 to 8 cities of the country: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Sochi, Vladivostok, Novosibirsk, Kaliningrad.
