The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, speaking within the framework of the New Knowledge marathon, said that Russian scientists have created combat robots. According to the minister, they have artificial intelligence and are able to fight on their own.
“The serial production of combat robots has begun. Not just experimental samples have appeared, but robots that can really be shown in science fiction films when he is able to fight on his own,” Shoigu said.
The minister noted that earlier such progress would have been considered a fantasy, but today, thanks to the best specialists, it has become a reality.
“I cannot get around what is called the weapon of tomorrow. There is a lot of work going on here, too,” he added.
The minister spoke about the fact that Russia possesses modern strategic nuclear forces, superior to all the armies of the world.
