The son of the former Bayern star was killed in a quad bike accident near Lisbon.
Former German soccer team captain Michael Ballack and his family are in mourning: According to the Portuguese media, their son Emilio (18) died in a quad bike accident on the family's property in Troia, south of Lisbon. According to TVI24, the drama happened at 2:10 a.m. on Thursday night.
The teen was believed to have been driving off-road on an uneven piece of land when the quad rolled backwards and fell on him. Resuscitation measures failed, Emilio's death had been determined at the scene of the accident. The 18-year-old, who had just graduated from Munich International School, was the middle of the three sons of Michael Ballack and his former wife Simone, Louis is 19 and Jordi is 16 years old.
