Ship “Soyuz MS-19” was finalized before the start of the film crew
The Soyuz MS-19 manned spacecraft, which will carry cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov, actress Yulia Peresild and director Klim Shipenko, is equipped with portable consoles so that one person can operate it, according to the Russian Space magazine.
Shkaplerov explained that at certain parts of the flight he would take out a portable remote control and issue the necessary commands.
The astronaut also told how he prepared for the flight with the actress and director. It is noted that part of the operations in the ship is assigned to Peresild and Shipenko. Near Peresild, according to him, during the flight there will be an oxygen supply valve to the descent vehicle. Next to Shipenko there is a valve for supplying oxygen to spacesuits in case of depressurization or fire.
Earlier, director Klim Shipenko spoke about preparations for a flight to the ISS. The launch of the spacecraft is scheduled for October 5. After filming on the ISS on October 17, Shipenko and Peresild are to return to Earth on the Soyuz MS-18 spacecraft together with cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky.
According to Shipenko, all the participants in the flight were trained; for him, the most difficult training was in a spacecraft. Peresild, in turn, shared that she would be a make-up artist, dresser and actress in orbit. She will play a doctor who is offered to fly to the ISS and save the life of an astronaut.
