After leaving the post of head coach of the Italian football club Genoa, Andriy Shevchenko commented on his resignation for the first time.

The Ukrainian turned to his former wards and FC fans. He stated that he was not ashamed to look at himself in the mirror.

“In two months, we did everything we could. The main thing is not to be ashamed to look in the mirror. I know I can do it,” he commented.

Before finally leaving office, Andriy Shevchenko turned to Genoa.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to the dismissal of Shevchenko from the post of head coach of Genoa. The head of state noted that all of Europe knows what kind of game the team under his leadership is capable of.

According to Zelensky, this is only the first club pancake lumpy at the beginning of the great career of the legendary coach.

Andriy Shevchenko is a former head coach of the Ukrainian national football team. Thanks to his work, Ukrainian athletes have historically been included in the top eight teams at the Euro 2020 championship.
