Russian invaders have been trying to take Kherson since the night of March 1. In the Tauride district of the city, the enemies fired a live shot at a residential building. This information is confirmed by the Kherson Regional State Administration.
The State Emergency Service specified that at 10.53 two Russian shells hit two nine-story residential buildings, as a result of which apartments on the second and third floors were destroyed.
A fire broke out in one of them, four people were previously injured.
The fire has been extinguished and there is a gas leak.
At night, it became known that Russian troops were advancing on Kherson from the side of the airport to the Nikolaev highway and the ring near the cold storage facility.
On the night of March 1, Kherson Mayor Igor Kolykhaev promised not to surrender the city to the occupier.
Earlier, the Kherson Regional State Administration stated that Kherson was surrounded by the occupying forces, but the city was not captured.
