Polish farmers have stopped blocking the Medika-Shehyni checkpoint.
The movement of trucks through the Shehyni-Medyka checkpoint has been resumed. Polish farmers have ended the blockade.
The State Customs Service reported this.
Referring to information from the Polish side, the State Customs Service stated that the blockade of the movement of freight vehicles carried out by Polish farmers in front of the Medika checkpoint has ended. The protesters have now stopped their protest.
“The passage of all categories of vehicles in this direction is carried out in the usual mode,” they added.
As RMF 24 reports, the unblocking of the border by Polish farmers occurred after Polish Minister of Agriculture Czeslaw Sekierski met with them. They noted that according to the agreements reached, farmers must submit demands to the ministry by Tuesday, which they discussed with the head of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy. Sekierski said that he would prepare a response by December 10.
Earlier, Polish farmers began blocking the Medika-Shehyni checkpoint on November 24. There was no accumulation of trucks in front of the checkpoint for exiting Ukraine.
