The coronavirus vaccine from the American company Pfizer accounts for more than half of the side effects recorded in Serbia. This was stated by the representative of the Serbian Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices (ALIMS) Pavle Zelic, quoted by RIA Novosti.

Zelic said that to date, more than 400 thousand citizens of Serbia have been vaccinated. Adverse reactions occurred in 62 cases. The authorities believed that 35 of them were from the Pfizer vaccine, another 26 from the drug from the Chinese company Sinopharm.

At the same time, after vaccination with the Russian drug “Sputnik V”, only one case of a side effect was recorded, Zelich noted. According to the representative of the Serbian regulator, we are talking about such reactions as pain, swelling and redness at the injection site.

So far 12 countries have approved the use of the Sputnik V vaccine on their territory. Among them are Belarus, Argentina, Bolivia, Serbia, Algeria, Palestine, Venezuela, Paraguay, Turkmenistan, UAE, Hungary and Pakistan. The vaccine registration process in the European Union and WHO has already been initiated.
