North Korea allegedly sent about three million ammunition to Russia.

Since July, North Korea (DPRK) has sent about ~60 to Russia ~strong>6700 containers with millions of ammunition.

This was stated by South Korean Defense Minister Shin Won-sik, reports The Guardian.

According to him, the containers may contain more than 3 million 152mm artillery shells or 500 thousand 122mm shells.

“It could probably be a mixture of the two, and it can be said that at least several million shells were sent,” the South Korean minister said of the calibers of shells delivered.

In exchange, North Korea received 9 thousand containers, mostly of food, which helped stabilize prices.

Shin Won-sik added that hundreds of North Korean ammunition factories are operating at about 30% of their capacity due to shortages of raw materials and electricity.

But those factories that produce artillery shells for Russia, are working at full capacity.

Previously, South Korean intelligence reported that the DPRK transferred more than a million artillery shells to Russia for the war in Ukraine. We are talking about more than 10 batches of ammunition.

Also, North Korea probably supplied several types of missiles to Russia.

According to Reuters, North Korea sent Russia about 2,000 containers of weapons through a special economic zone.

On January 4, the United States announced that missiles from North Korea were used in large-scale Russian attacks on Ukraine.

The SBU also found confirmation that Russia is firing missiles at Ukraine from the DPRK.
