Continued: The police reacted to the data on the strengthening of security near the clinic with Navalny
The number of police officers guarding the German clinic “Charite”, where Alexei Navalny lies, has been increased. Der Spiegel reports.
According to the newspaper, the Berlin Criminal Police Office has tightened control measures and sent more employees to the clinic. Law enforcement agencies took such a step due to the likely increase in the number of visitors: earlier, the Russian got better.
Meanwhile, the hospital representatives themselves did not confirm the information to RIA Novosti about the strengthening of the security around it. The Berlin police press service promised TASS to give an official comment later.
Earlier it became known that Alexei Navalny completely recovered after he was taken out of a medical coma. He became ill on August 20 during a flight from Tomsk to Moscow. In the first two days, the blogger was assisted by doctors from the Omsk hospital. They also introduced him to an artificial coma. On August 22, the patient was sent to a clinic in Berlin.
On September 2, the German government announced that military toxicologists had found traces of a substance from the Novichok group in Navalny's body and called on the Russian government to respond to this information. Moscow, in turn, said that they are waiting for a response to the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia to the Ministry of Justice of Germany.
