The statement by US President Donald Trump about the coronavirus infection has provoked a lot of rumors and speculation among supporters of conspiracy theories in the country, writes Business Insider.
Different versions are being discussed on the network: some believe that by his post on Twitter, the American leader tried to distract everyone from debate and tax policy, others are sure that the statement of the head of state contains a more serious message. Thus, representatives of the conspiracy Internet community QAnon expressed the opinion that the tweet serves as a signal for the beginning of the operation, which the members of the association call “Storm”.
Members of the pro-Trump movement believe that during the operation, the president will fight a clandestine group of pedophile politicians and agents of the “deep state” – as they call a group of senior American officials, mostly belonging to the Democratic Party.
The President of the United States wrote on Twitter on October 2 that he and his wife Melania were sick with COVID-19. According to one of the versions, he became infected through contact with his closest adviser Hope Hicks, who had previously been diagnosed with coronavirus.
The Russian presidential administration reacted to the news by sending Trump a letter wishing him a speedy recovery. In the United States, they noticed that the text of the message duplicates the telegram that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson received in April 2020 when he was diagnosed with COVID-19.
