Second round of coronavirus vaccine trials kicks off in Vietnam
Vietnam has begun the second phase of trials of a locally produced coronavirus vaccine, RIA Novosti reported, citing a government Internet portal.
The drug is called NanoCovax, it was developed by Nanogen Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies, one of four working to create a vaccine.
The Vietnamese authorities plan to inoculate most of the country's population during the current year with imported and local drugs.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam approved for emergency use in the country of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus Sputnik V, in turn, the head of the Vietnamese Ministry of Health Nguyen Thanh Long previously announced the continuation of negotiations with the Russian side on the supply of 60 million doses of Sputnik V.
