It was already the second season success of the ice hockey stars after the penalty shootout.
Michael Raffl from Carinthia scored his second goal of the season for the Dallas Stars in the North American ice hockey league NHL on Tuesday. The 32-year-old scored 1-0 in the 2-1 win after a penalty shoot-out at the Pittsburgh Penguins just before the end of the first period. The stars had previously lost five matches against the “penguins”. After four away matches in a row, they go into their home premiere on Friday against the Los Angeles Kings with two wins.
Raffl used a “perfect pass” from Radek Faksa. “I was able to shoot straight away, luckily he went in,” said Raffl after the hard-fought game, the fourth of his team in six days. In the shootout, Joe Pavelski and Alexander Radulov scored for the stars, while only Jeff Carter scored for Pittsburgh.
