The Al-Amal space probe of the United Arab Emirates has captured an unusual glow in the atmosphere of the Red Planet – the aurora. The images will allow scientists to better understand the atmosphere of Mars and how this aurora is different from what we see on Earth.
The Martian aurora is not similar to the terrestrial one due to the fact that the planet lacks its own magnetic field.
We will remind, “Al-Amal” arrived on Mars in early February 2021 as part of the “Emirates Mars Mission”.
