Scientists: Speaking Robot Gives People Trust
Talking robots inspire more confidence in humans than speechless robots. This conclusion was made by scientists from the University of Palermo, writes FAN.
During the experiment, 27 participants watched robots reason about various topics. After that, the subjects filled out questionnaires, the analysis of which showed that the robot's speech inspires confidence in it. This conclusion will help in the future when studying the psychology of relations between people and machines, scientists say.
Earlier, the American businessman Elon Musk said that in 2022 a humanoid robot Tesla Bot will be created. The height of the robot will be similar to the average height of an adult male, weighing 57 kilograms. The robot can be used to go to the store, perform daily tasks and carry items.
