Scientists: Large pupils are a sign of high intelligence
Researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology (USA) have identified a link between pupil size and intelligence. Scientific article published in the journal Cognition .
According to scientists, the larger the pupil, the higher the intelligence. To find out, a study was conducted. It was attended by 500 people aged 18 to 35 years. The participants in the experiment took part in tests for memory, thinking and attention.
It turned out that people whose pupil size was larger than the “baseline” performed better than those who had smaller pupils. Scientists explain this by the fact that such people have a higher level of brain activity in the zone responsible for the mind and memory.
It turns out that the size of the pupil can speak not only of exhaustion and excitement, but also indicate individual differences in intelligence.
Scientists have previously stated that regular consumption of wine will protect eyesight. Wine can reduce the risk of developing cataracts by 23%.
