Scientists at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research conducted a study and came to disappointing conclusions. It is about the destruction of one of the fundamental systems that regulates the climate of the Northern Hemisphere.
Scientists note that AMOC – Atlantic meridional reversible circulation, which includes the Gulf Stream – provides not only the circulation of the world's oceans, but also softens a significant part of the climate. It is noted that the current has become weak and continues to weaken.
And when the flow loses stability, the AMOC will begin to collapse. This is fraught with cooling and increased storms in the Northern Hemisphere, and in the Southern – powerful rains and hunger.
