American scientists have warned that melting glaciers in Antarctica will jeopardize the existence of coastal cities such as New York and Shanghai.

So, if the current rate of greenhouse gas emissions continues, the Antarctic ice sheet will overcome the critical melting threshold by 2060.
At the same time, the rise in the level of the World Ocean will reach such a level that it will threaten humanity. By 2100, according to experts, the water level will rise ten times faster than today.
