Scientists from the Netherlands conducted an interesting study in which they interviewed about 800 men and women aged 18 to 94 years.
It turned out that after the same amount of alcohol, older people suffered from hangovers much less than younger people. According to experts, the whole point is in a decrease in pain sensitivity that occurs with age in people of all genders.
The researchers also emphasize that the hangover itself, obviously, occurred in everyone, just older people tolerated it better. Details of the study were published in the Oxford journal Alcohol and Alcoholism.
However, more research is needed to confirm the new data. Perhaps the point was also in the fact that young people consumed the entire volume of alcohol in a slightly shorter period than people of age.
Be that as it may, do not forget that alcohol is harmful to the health of all people. In addition, if you drink a really large amount of alcohol, no age will save you from the consequences the next morning.
