US scientists and experts have assessed the risk of an international war in space. Russia, China and the United States could become participants in such a conflict.
Their opinion is quoted by “Lenta.ru”. A professor of the curriculum for peace, war and defense at the University of North Carolina said that the semblance of space warfare is already underway. Signs of this are the creation of space forces by the leading world powers. Also, sometimes there are cases of jamming of satellite communications, laser blinding of satellites. According to the expert, tension in outer space will only increase. The professor also said that the main warring countries will almost certainly be the United States, Russia and China. Nevertheless, the expert believes that a real war can not be expected, since the parties understand the danger of consequences.
The assistant professor of strategy and security at the School of Advanced Study of Aviation and Space, the US Air Force, also said that she did not believe in the inevitability of war.
