Scientists have established the cause of death of Mikhail Bulgakov and Jack London
An international group of scientists conducted a study and found that the cause of death of the Russian writer Mikhail Bulgakov and the American prose writer Jack London were opioid pain relievers, which should not be taken for kidney disease, writes TASS.
As noted, experts work in Israel and use a unique method of biochemical analysis using EVA technology to identify substances that were previously in the body of famous personalities.
A member of the scientific community, Russian Gleb Zilberstein, said the researchers set out to test whether Jack London's belongings had protein biomarkers for kidney failure.
“We wanted to see if London and Bulgakov, who suffered from kidney failure, could die due to the use of opioid painkillers, which are destructive for this disease. Both writers suffered from kidney failure and both used opioid pain relievers, ”the expert said.
In addition, they analyzed the first-aid kit of the author of “Sea Wolf” and found in it drugs that the prose writer regularly used for self-medication.
“We analyzed the contents of vials, injection syringes and needles. It is known that London regularly injected itself with morphine as a pain reliever, ”Silberstein said.
It turned out that London had diabetes mellitus, and the opioids he was using had a devastating effect on his kidneys. The diagnosis of Bulgakov, who was also addicted to opioids, was confirmed by a group of researchers earlier by analyzing his manuscripts, where biomarkers were preserved.
Earlier it was reported that the historian Sally Hedel conducted her own investigation and established the true cause of death of the king of rock and roll Elvis Presley.
