Scientists have dispelled the popular myth about

Russian virologists have responded to anti-vaccines, claiming that the Sputnik V vaccine is supposedly capable of changing human genes and multiplying adenoviruses in the body. The opinions of leading experts are reported by RIA Novosti.

Alexei Agranovsky, professor of the Department of Virology, Faculty of Biology, Moscow State University, said that adenovirus, entering the nucleus of cells, is present there in the form of an episome, a separate unit.

“It does not interact with the nucleus, does not interact with DNA, does not integrate anywhere,” Agranovsky explained.

According to him, adenovirus can reproduce only in a special cell culture of fermenters, and in human cells it is only two weeks after vaccination.

Sergei Netesov, Doctor of Biological Sciences, agreed with this opinion. He added that the adenoviruses used in the vaccine lack a part of the genome, unlike the natural variant.

Misinformation and fake news have a huge impact on the course of mass vaccination in different countries. This was announced today by the Russian Direct Investment Fund – RDIF.

The fund pointed to the state of affairs in Hungary, where it is possible to resist the virus, thanks to the Russian “Sputnik V”, and Slovakia, where there is a failure to vaccinate the population due to fakes in relation to the Russian drug.

Vaccination against COVID-19 with domestic drugs is carried out in all Russian regions and dozens of foreign countries. Four vaccines are used: Sputnik V, Sputnik-Light, EpiVacCorona and KoviVak.
