Scientists have debunked the popular myth of the coronavirus. This was reported by RIA Novosti citing researchers from Tel Aviv University.
Experts have disproved the common misconception that a virus can cause hearing loss. According to them, the disease can deprive a person of smell, taste, but not hearing. The scientists also added that hearing loss in coronavirus can only be a temporary symptom due to the personality traits of the disease.
Earlier, scientists at the University of Geneva in Switzerland described the longest symptoms of COVID-19, which do not go away in people with coronavirus for several months. The first manifestations of the disease were fatigue, shortness of breath, and loss of taste or smell. Moreover, in a third of patients, the main symptoms persisted at least 30 days after the diagnosis.
