Scientists have called the unexpected consequences of the transferred COVID

The consequence of the transferred coronavirus can be Guillain-Barré syndrome – a dangerous autoimmune disease, writes EurekAlert! citing research from the University of Birmingham.

Scientists have found that the antibodies produced by the body after being infected with COVID are similar to those that cause autoimmune heart and skin diseases.

The first symptoms of Guillain-Barré syndrome are numbness in the feet and hands, muscle pain, weakness, and coordination problems. It leads to muscle flaccidity and autonomic disorders.

Earlier, American scientists conducted a study to determine the long-term consequences of the postponed coronavirus. It found that about a third of the participants continued to feel sick, tired, sore throat and cough even 6-9 months after recovery.

Later, experts found out why, when a person becomes infected with a coronavirus, taste sensations can disappear.

It was also reported that more than 30% of patients who underwent coronavirus infection experienced neurological or psychiatric disorders.
