Scientists from the United States have found an antibody that can protect against all strains of COVID-19
Scientists at the University of Washington School of Medicine in St. Louis have found an antibody that can neutralize all currently known strains of coronavirus. The research was published on the official website of the university.
First, the researchers analyzed 43 samples and tested how much they prevent infection with the original SARS-CoV-2 variant. The nine most potent neutralizing particles have been tested in rodents. The most effective were selected from these samples.
It turned out that the SARS2-38 antibody can protect against mutations of the coronavirus “alpha”, “beta” “gamma”, “delta”, “kappa”, “iota”. It has a high neutralization capacity at low concentration.
Earlier it was reported that German scientists have developed nanobodies that effectively block SARS-CoV-2 and its new dangerous variants and, at the same time, are a thousand times superior to previously created analogues.
