NIH Scientists: Coronavirus Can Enter Brain And Stay Up To 230 Days

The coronavirus is able to penetrate most organs of the body, in particular the heart and brain, and remain there for more than seven months. This is evidenced by the results of a study by scientists from the US National Institutes of Health (NIH), published on Research Square.
It is clarified that experts analyzed samples obtained from the bodies of 44 who died from COVID-19, and found “resistant SARS-CoV-2 RNA in many anatomical sites, including areas throughout the brain, for up to 230 days from the onset of symptoms.”
According to scientists, the coronavirus has been found in almost all organs of the body and is widespread even in patients with mild symptoms. At the same time, no serious inflammation outside the airways was identified. The study has not yet been independently verified.
Earlier, American scientists from Ohio State University discovered a “clandestine” way of spreading coronavirus. According to doctors, SARS-CoV-2 has learned to evade antibodies.
