Mutations of the coronavirus have led to a change in its main symptoms, according to scientists from one of the oldest universities in England – King's College London. According to the Mirror, the most common symptoms are headaches, runny nose and sore throat.

At the same time, the World Health Organization still considers the main symptoms of COVID-19 to be fever, dry cough and fatigue. Headache, nasal congestion, and sore throat are considered less common symptoms. The UK National Health Service considers the main symptoms to be fever, prolonged cough and loss of smell and taste.

Scientists said that at the beginning of the pandemic, a severe cough was observed in 46% of those infected. But now other symptoms have become the main ones. Professor of Genetic Epidemiology Tim Spector believes it is important that people with cold symptoms are tested. According to him, the “Indian” version of the coronavirus resembles a common cold in young people and they can become a source of the spread of COVID-19.
