Dozens of schoolgirls have been hospitalized after they passed out while using a ouija board at school.

Hugo Torres, head of an educational institution in Galeras, Colombia, said parents have been informed that the girls have been taken to hospital, adding that they are still waiting for news from doctors.
“Given the reported cases, a number of comments have been made public in the community which, instead of helping to resolve the situation, have caused embarrassment and created a hostile environment for our work. The school is awaiting medical findings before providing an update on the incident,” the principal said.
Torres also noted that the first two hospitalized students had comorbidities.
School officials and teachers escorted 28 students to the hospital after the girls showed signs of fainting, restlessness and other symptoms.
It is not yet known when the school plans to release an update on students' medical diagnoses. In addition, local authorities have not yet confirmed whether a police investigation is ongoing.
“We need to find out as quickly as possible what is happening at school, because children cannot continue to study in such a situation. They always have a good breakfast and it cannot be said that what is happening is due to a lack of food,” said one of the mothers.
