Schoolgirl lies lead to brutal murder of teacher near Paris

by alex

The schoolgirl's lies turned out to be one of the reasons for the brutal murder of French history teacher Samuel Pati near Paris in October 2020. Writes about this BBC News.

The historian was beheaded because of the information that he showed cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad to his disciples during one of the lessons. It is believed that it was the wave of negativity in social networks that led to the murder.

Initially, one of the students reported that Pati allegedly asked to leave the class of Muslim children. Her father told other believers about this on social networks, and the situation began to be actively discussed. However, now there is evidence that the girl lied.

BBC News emphasizes that in reality, the student who allegedly watched the incident was suspended from classes the day before class. At the same time, Pati actually just asked the children to close their eyes if they thought that the drawings could offend them.

According to the girl herself, she came up with a story “so as not to disappoint her father.” “She lied because she felt trapped: her classmates asked her to tell [about the cartoons] for everyone,” said lawyer Mbeko Tabula. The schoolgirl herself was later shown the drawings by one of her classmates.

On the evening of October 16, 2020, in the suburbs of Paris, 18-year-old Chechen Abdullah Anzorov killed and beheaded Party. Anzorov was shot dead by the police during his arrest. Presumably, the attacker got on the trail of the victim thanks to information from social networks, where the teacher was criticized for insulting the prophet.
