Chancellor ofGermany Olaf Scholz said that the government will not tolerate any manifestations of anti-Semitism after the Palestinians celebrated in the country due to the Hamas attack on Israel.
He said this during his speech before the Bundestag , reports Politico.
He said that everyone will glorify the crimes of the Hamas group, use its symbols, justify the killing of civilians, call for new crimes and incite discord – they will be held accountable .
The Chancellor said there would be “zero tolerance” for any manifestations of anti-Semitism. Scholz called on law enforcement agencies to bring to justice all those who violate the laws.
“The Federal Ministry of the Interior will ban the activities of Hamas in Germany,” the chancellor added.
