Germany has provided Ukraine with emergency winter aid so that the worst damage can be quickly restored and repaired, Scholz noted.
Ukraine will receive from Germany not only the sixth IRIS-T installation, but also Sea King helicopters and other weapons.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced this during a press conference with President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kiev.
“Germany has just provided Ukraine with emergency winter aid so that the worst damage can be quickly restored and repaired,” Scholz said.
The German Chancellor noted that Germany is currently Ukraine's second largest partner with about 28 billion euros in aid, with the United States in first place.
Scholz also said that Ukraine will receive Patriot launchers and self-propelled anti-aircraft guns in December Gepard.
In addition, Scholz said that Germany will also supply Ukraine with six Sea King helicopters, air defense systems, howitzers, combat and reconnaissance drones next year.
