American billionaire Elon Musk has found a new justification for disconnecting Starlink near Crimea. He said that the request from Ukraine came “in the middle of the night” and he was unable to do it due to US sanctions against Russia.
He spoke about this at the All-In Summit conference.

This includes Crimea under sanctions and we are actually prohibited from turning on the connection to the country without the approval of the US government,” Musk said.
