Scandal on Polish border: 6-year-old Ukrainian boy has his passport confiscated

There were no comments on the Polish border service website regarding the incident with the Ukrainian.

Polish border guards confiscated the passport of a six-year-old child. All because one of the entry stamps had a car drawn in pen.

This case was reported by a public figure, human rights activist and former deputy of the Kyiv City Council of the VII convocation, Elena Tereshchenko.

According to her, the boy was traveling to Great Britain for 3 days together with his peers and adults – they were supposed to visit London as part of an excursion. During the check, the border guards discovered that the child had circled the entry stamp machine with a pen on one of the passport pages.

“The Polish side's claim is that you forged the stamp. Although the originality of this stamp can be easily checked in the computer system and I have the same one in my passport. There are no grounds for confiscation. The stamp is not forged, the passport is not forged. The passport is the property of Ukraine, especially with a valid UK visa. His group is already at the airport, preparing to board the plane.

Later, Elena Tereshchenko reported that the situation on the Polish border had been resolved. She said that the Polish side tried to give them a document to sign, that the boy and his parents voluntarily left them their passport and let the Ukrainians go, but they did not board the plane to London late.

After the scandal in Poland, they were still able to fly to London and at the British border, despite the red marks in their passports, there were no problems.

Recall that in Transcarpathia, border guards from the Chop detachment exposed a 22-year-old resident of Kiev who was trying to illegally cross the border with Slovakia, disguising himself as a person with disabilities.
